  • Our second stay at Pendragon View and we had another wonderful week - but there were too many things to fit into the time we had.
    Thank you again.

  • Lovely cottage, everything we needed. Dogs have had a lovely time. We wanted a short break in peaceful surroundings and got that. So many lovely places to go and views are amazing. Very dog friendly wherever you go. Thank you.

  • Rained every day but it never seems to matter here, it's still beautiful & then suddenly the sun comes out, blue sky and Wild Boar Fell reveals itself. Did lots of walking & there are always new bits to discover in the valley. So many hares again! Another lovely supper at the Black Bull in Sedbergh. Can't wait to be back in the summer. Thank you!

  • Thank you Ivana & Nigel for yet another fantastic stay in your lovely, comfortable, clean & cosy cottage. we have thoroughly enjoyed the rest and relaxation in such an amazing location., There is lots to see and explore and of course good walks.
Thanks for letting us know about the vintage vehicle rally in Kirkby Stephen at the weekend - well worth a visit.
We are already looking forward to our annual visit next year to our 'sanctuary of peace and relaxation'.
    Many thanks.

  • Great cottage, remote but easy to get to. Walks to Water Cut & viaduct walk (Kirkby Stephen) well worth it. Drive up Tommy road & across common as dramatic as ever. Changeable weather but that's Mallerstang for you :)
Love the cottage experience from the ease of booking to the stay itself.
Thanks for letting us to stay.

  • Amazing cottage, simple, cosy, very clean, beautiful views. Garden is fully secure if you have dogs - ours loved it.
If you like peace and quiet- highly recommended. I'm sure we will be back.

  • Once again our stay in this fabulous cottage has been amazing. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to welcome the New Year in the most amazing valley with views that take my breathe away.
We visited Rutter Force, Shap Abbey and Castlerigg. Today (sadly) on the way home we intend to visit Malham Cave.
So for now we will say goodbye to Pendragon castle and Tommy Road. We feel so lucky to have found this delightful place. Looking forward to booking for a5th time later in the year.

  • Lovely location, super cottage, warm but never stuffy, just perfect. Loved the goodies left and Christmas tree & decorations were fab.
Maggie the Irish Water Spaniel loved the garden and walks and we really appreciated the peace, tranquility and scenery all around.
Even saw a red squirrel near the castle on Christmas day!
Loved it and very sad to go back to North Essex. Thanks for having us!

  • Back again at your lovely relaxing cottage - we love staying here, it's so quiet and calm compared to London life..
Enjoyed discovering some new bits of the fell, seeing the ever increasing amount of wildlife here - black grouse seen here for the first time, but just more hares, owls + birds of prey.
Really enjoyed supper at The Black Bull in Sedbergh - wonderful food.
Thank you again & see you soon!

  • A very enjoyable & relaxed week at Pendragon View. The weather was changeable so we went for lots of drives - over The Pennines, Yorkshire Dales and The Lakes. We visited Morecambe and made it up to Hadrian's Wall and the Abbey at Lanercost.
    Thanks for a fabulous time.

  • Again, great memories of my childhood re-visiting Kirkby Stephen. The cottage is just perfect and the weather was pleasant. Lots of walks to be had. If you have children, Brough Castle +Ice Cream Parlour worth visit.

  • First time here & in the area and we've had the best time! Would definitely come again, 2 adults and 2 teenage kids with 1 dog - and fully entertained every day.
Would recommend Aysgarth Falls - we didn't have time to do all, but lovely view. All pubs very dog friendly - we tried The Black bull, The Taggy man, Kings Head - all fantastic food!
Lovely neighbours who advised the gate to walk up the hill - we didn't make it to the top!
Very keen to come back. Thank you - house has been ideal.

  • This is my second visit to Pendragon View and will not be my last.
The weather has been kind to us and we have had a fantastic time visiting Penrith, Brougham Castle, Brough Castle, Kirkby Stephen and the viaduct walk - all were great. The Black Bull in Nateby is fantastic.
The cottage is lovely, so peaceful and tranquil and had everything we needed. I will be sad to leave.

  • Our first stay at Pendragon View, most certainly not our last!
What a lovely home you made, very welcoming :) Shower is great, kitchen complete, beds are good so we slept really well.
The views are stunning, especially with the heather in full blossom in purple.
Looking forward to coming here again!

  • Our first time at Pendragon View. We love this cottage, it is a warm cosy cottage which has everything in it you will need to have a wonderful stay. We love Cumbria and although the weather wasn't too good we had a great time and even enjoyed our walks in the rain.
We are here for vacation and also to run some sheepdog trials with our dogs. The dogs also had a great time at Pendragon View walking the bid field in front of the cottage, they loved it!
Thanks Nigel & Ivana for letting us stay in your cottage.

  • This is our first visit to Pendragon View and to this area and we had a lovely time. Cottage spotless, comfy & cosy and fabulous views.
The weather hasn't been great but being Scottish we are used to some rain.
Pendragon View is a great location for exploring the area and our dog had a great time. We would definitely recommend & would absolutely return.
Thanks Ivana for responding to my FB messages, for the milk & the cookies.

  • Our first visit to Pendragon View, and we can understand why so many people visit again and again.
The weather has been very unkind to us so we have not been able to explore the area as much as we planned, but we love it and the quality of the accommodation and location has made up for it. Even sitting inside the views are lovely. We needed peace and relaxation and Pendragon View has more than delivered.

    — Mark & Gill, 03 Aug 2023
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Fantastic place for us and our dogs. Still lots more to explore so planning to come back next year. Thank you!

  • Our 2nd visit & even more perfect!
Black Bull at Nateby & Fat Lamb are well worth a visit, lovely food.
So many beautiful walks & stunning scenery.
    Definitely coming back.

  • We have had a fantastic stay! The cottage is lovely and in such a beautiful, peaceful location.
There are so many amazing walks locally and further away to explore. We feel like we have only scratched the surface during this visit. Nigel was very helpful suggesting quieter walks for our rescue dog which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We hope to visit again next year.

  • As usual we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage.
The weather was wonderful for the most, we managed to get some sun bathing in. We also enjoyed some amazing days out. We spotted deer on the hill by the cottage, red squirrel down the road.
We will look forward to our next stay here.
